Where can I find facts about specific flight delays in the recent past?
Find flightsLaura Renee asked:
My flight was in July 2008 and involved a diversion to another airport for several hours and then delays on my “reschedule” which caused me to miss an entire day of my vaca. PLUS my luggage was lost for over 36 hours. The reasons the airline gave us were rather shady and I just want to know the truth. Is there any way to find out?

To learn how many minutes a flight is delayed on average visit and enter the airline and the flight number.

There probably is no way to find out for sure. You *could* try joining airliners.net ($25) or flyertalk.net (or is it .com? I don’t know if that one costs money) and posting a question, and maybe a kind airline employee will look it up for you.
Don’t know exactly why you think it was “shady”. Generally delays are because of weather (either where you are, where you’re going, or where your plane’s previous destination was), because of crew scheduling issues (crew is late or sick or on strike), or because of a mechanical failure on the plane. In bad weather they will often reduce the number of flights that can arrive/leave per hour…just in case your complaint was “they said we were delayed for weather, but I saw other planes taking off!”.
