Where can I find the best deal for a flight to Amsterdam or London from Detroit, USA?
Find flightsskiboymi asked:
Two friends and I want to go visit western europe over the summer. Where can we find the best deal on a flight from detroit (DTW) to either London or Amsterdam? I have checked some of the online deals, but I wanted to know if there were any good student deals (we are all university students) or anything that won’t break too deap into my budget. If you have any experience with getting cheap flights to europe, please help me out! Thanks everyone.

I would use your travel agent for fares to Europe, you may want to even do an openjaw ticket, they work with consolidators for net pricing which is way lower then published air found online.
Good luck

“Student” ticket agencies handle consolidator, published, and sale fares. Their tickets are often changeable for a much smaller fee ($25-$75) than buying from an airline or travel agency ($150-$200), and student tickets often allow stopovers in connecting cities. Here ya go: (try US and Canada sites if you could go from Toronto, too) (ditto US/Canada)
One final thought… if you’re travelling in May, then check the fares for Toronto to the UK at — they have some C$99 roundtrips (+taxes, of course) on select days, and other dates are also amazingly cheap. Adding a bus ticket Detroit-YYZ Airport might be well worth the savings.
