Me & my boyfriend will be celebrating our 1-year anniversary in Chicago very soon. We are staying the night and I was wondering what are some romantic hotels but not TOO expensive..to stay in? Yes I keep in mind that it is a big city and hotels are going to be expensive. But I was looking for something that is under $200 a night, but still very nice. Help?

First off, you did good by choosing Chicago. It’s the greatest city in America. Big city style with that good old Midwestern warmth (figuratively).
The Congress Plaza downtown is probably your best bet for the whole package. You can get a standard room with a king or queen bed for under $200. Or you can get lakeside or city view for about $220. They’re all individually decorated, it’s on Michigan Ave (the Magnificent Mile).
