I don’t know about clubs, but taking the L from the airport to downtown is a little longer than it used to be, due to track troubles. Allow at least an hour. You might do better to take the L to the Addison stop (day game), and then taking a bus east to Wrigley. Again, at least an hour to an hour & a half. Call 773-836-7000 for the RTA travel info–the website’s not as good, and when they give you travel times, ask about potential delays due to slow zones; they sometimes forget to mention that, which is most unfair to the visitor. I think there are some sort of shuttles, too, but I don’t know anything about them. If the RTA can’t tell you, ask the hotel or call the stadium.

You don’t have to go to downtown to get from O’Hare to Wrigley Field. You can get on the Blue Line train at O’Hare and get off at the Addison stop. Then catch the Addison bus going east. It will let you off right across the street from Wrigley field. Give yourself about an hour and 15 minutes to get there.
As far as clubs downtown, forget it. There are about 15 bazillion bars and clubs around Wrigley Field. You won’t have to go downtown. There are bars, restaruants, clubs, concert venues, even a comedy club.

You can take the Blue Line from O’Hare either all the way into downtown, transfer to the Red Line (Howard, north-bound), and then get off at Addison, in front of Wrigley Field - or you could bypass downtown altogether by taking the Blue Line only as far as Addison, getting off the train and taking the Addison Street bus east to Wrigley Field. Either way, probably an hour.
If you don’t go all the way to downtown, Wrigley and the surrounding neighborhood *is* mostly cool clubs and bars, particularly along Clark Street. But if you do go downtown, go to the area around Rush and Oak, and south on Rush - that’s some of the hotter clubs in Chicago (one of my favorites is Tavern on Rush, but you might also try Elm Street Liquors or the Hunt Club nearby.)
