The hotel they have me staying at is in ROSEMONT, IL. I realize that is about 45 minutes from Chicago so I’ll be taking the train there every day. Is the train safe??? Is it a pain in the @ss? Will I be bored crusing Chicago alllllll day every day with limited funds?

The train is not too bad — just crowded. Yes, you need $$$$$ to have fun in Chicago! It is a very expensive city. There is nothing to do near the hotel but watch airplanes take off and land at O’Hare.

Although it was many years ago, I used to take the train from North Chicago to Chicago and Wheaten and never had a problem. Everyone I met on the trains was actually very polite and nice. In General, Chicago is not a city to see on a shoestring budget, but I think you can have a good time! They have some excellent museums in Chicago and some affordable entertainment, check out the local paper and they usually list locations of free concerts and things that usually go on in large metros during the summer. Have fun!

Yah you probably take the L train. Its safe and fast. At night its safer to be with someone but you will still be fine. Basically you are staying out by the airport where there is not much to do. Too bad they didnt put you up downtown, you would have a lot more freedom and fun.
