if you’re planning to stay in Larnaca there are a lot of cheap hotels and motels along the beach (Phinikoudes).
Just ask the taxi driver to get you there,or just ask him to tell you some good hotels.

Larnaka is quite boring, go to Limassol or Ayia Napa instead. You can find any range of places to stay in either of those two beach towns, though Ayia Napa may be a bit deserted in April.
Paphos is another wonderful old-world type Greek fishing village that you will love.
