Where can I find a cheap hotel in Savannah, GA?

I need a hotel in Savannah, GA because I’m checking out The Savannah College of Arts and Design. So far the dates I want are too expensive from what I’ve seen(too expensive by my standards). The dates I need are 11/10/06-11/12/06. I’d like it to be in the historic district if that’s not asking too much because I’d like to be able to walk around and still be able to “walk” back to my hotel. I’d like to make driving a minimum as I know how the driving and parking situation is there. Thanks for any help.

   Be careful when you say cheap lol. My advice, go to and see what’s around there and check their prices. Then go to the hotel’s web site directly and see if you can get it cheaper that way. A lot of times airlines and hotels will have internet only specials.

   you can get a hotel in achorage ,ak for $2 per night plus tax it may be a long walk but it will be worth it in the “long run ” .

   try roomsaver.com.. you can print out coupons if you find one that suit your needs. scad is a great school. great area. try some of the shops on river street while your down there. just a few blocks away from scad

   Click on SmartSearch - you can enter your trip detail once and can compare rates on multiple major travelsite from one place. You dont have to enter trip detail again and again.. thats very helpful.. I liked it.
