I’m looking specifically for a place in Altrincham, near Manchester. I’ll be traveling with my husband and my 10 yr old daughter and we need a place to stay from March 29th to April 29th. We don’t want to stay in a hotel. We would like to rent a house or apartment for just the month if possible.

HI, you may find it hard to get a place for only 1 month. you may want to try a UK travel agent or searching on-line for extended stay suites or extended stay bed and breakfasts that offer private rooms and area’s.
I have seen in staffordshire area about an hour south of Manchester, a local pub/Inn had a apartment above it that they rented on a month to month basis for only about 250 a month and it was a very nice place. most lodging in the UK is sorted out through agents.
also try a site called they ususaly handle temporary residences for corporate people but may be able to help.
